Texas, Tennessee and 4th of July
Hey guys,Well, I have lots to tell you about my past two weeks.
Firstly I have decided that the 4th of July is now in my list of top 5 favorite days of the year: 1- Christmas, 2- My birthday, 3- Easter, 4- New Years Eve and 5- Independence Day in America. I never knew how much fun letting fireworks off could be until this year. I spent my 4th of July in Texas and we got to let soooo many fireworks off! I was like a big kid - I loved setting off the little tiny baby fireworks. I would put 6 of them together and light them all at once - luckily I didn't blow my hand off! It was very fun... I couldn't get used to the BANG - I jumped every time one exploded! The boys also found it rather amusing putting little fireworks in the ants nests or throwing the little crackers really close to my feet without me realizing - they found it funny when I would get scared. Boys will be boys, I guess. Another thing I have realized is that American people know how to eat and can cook a great meal. My holiday revolved around spending time on the lake, riding horses, going to rodeos and EATING! The food for 4th of July was so good... thank goodness for exercise though. Haha!
I had the past two weeks off so I spent the first few days of it on the lake here in Nashville. I love the water and love going on the tube behind a boat. I am a very competitive person so I hate it when I fall off the tube into the water - I like being able to hold on tight and not let go! My band and I also had dinner on the house boat one night. We had a BBQ, good music and a lot of fun! After spending a few days in Nashville I went to Texas to catch up with some friends of mine. It was awesome. I felt like I was at home. I got to walk around with no make up on, ride horses, barrel race, clean out stables, get my hands dirty and also go to a few rodeos. :) I loved every minute of it. I also go to go and explore the canyons - we found some old indian carvings, arrow heads, saw some rattle snakes, etc. I had a week of being Cowgirl Shea in Texas. I put together a video of my holiday for you to watch - check it out below. Hope you like it!
Well I'd better go - my band and I are going to rehearse tonight. Holiday is over, now it's time to get back out on the road. Hope to see you guys soon!
Thanks again to everyone who has been voting for or requesting "Don't Chase Me" here in the U.S. on radio, CMT Pure or GAC, and to everyone back home in AUS who has been voting for "Don't Chase Me" or "Suitcase". You guys mean the world to me! Thank you so much.
