NY in a private jet, BamaJam and CMA Music Fest!

Hey guys,

Well what a cool past couple weeks I have had. I have been out on the road visiting radio stations. I had the chance to go to NY, Texas, Minneapolis, Minnesota, etc... I must say NY is one massive city. I can't believe that the amount of people living there is only 3 million less than Australia's whole population. That is crazy! I was so lucky - I got to ride in my very own private jet for the first time. My band and I were like little children! I have always wondered what it would be like to be a flight attendant so I decided I would play that role on our trip from Nashville to NY. My band told me I looked good handing out drinks etc. Haha! It was a lot of fun. We didn't have to go through any security or wait in any lines, we walked straight onto the plane. I spent half the flight annoying the pilots - it was awesome to see how they operate the plane.

The weather is beautiful here at the moment. It is nice and warm and sunny, I have spent any of my spare time in the pool, on the lake or riding my bike around on adventures. :) My poor family and friends back in Australia are sitting in the cold right now as Winter gets closer and closer. I must say I am enjoying having Summer all year around. I think I will have to go home to Australia when it gets cold here in the US. Joking, sounded like a good idea, though! My band boys are back in Australia this week. They have been over here for 3 months so it was their turn to go home and visit their family for a week... Have fun boys! I must say the house is VERY quiet without my band here.

I played the coolest festival on Thursday. It is called BamaJam. It is held in a little town called Enterprise in Alabama. This festival has only been running for two years and they had 70,000 people on the first day I played. They are expecting over 200,000 people over the three days. WOW! I played along side of Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift, Jamey Johnson. Luke Bryan, etc. It was a really good night. I am really looking forward to this coming week - the CMA festival in Nashville. I won't be doing a heap of shows there this year but I will be signing in the Convention Centre for a couple hours Fri/Sat. I am also going around the festival chatting with fans for CMT's video blogging. It is going to be a lot of fun. I wonder how many Americans will understand all my Aussie sayings or how many will actually enjoy the taste of good old Vegemite. :)

I just wanted to let all my US friends know that "Don't Chase Me" is officially at radio here in the US. YAY! It would be great if you could ring up and request it at your local radio station. I found out this week that the music video is now playing on GAC and CMT Pure Country - keep an eye out for it and feel free to request it whenever you like! :)

There's more - "Don't Chase Me" is now also available on iTunes... here is the link: http://bit.ly/fk3jf

All my Aussie friends - I have not forgotten you. I just want to say thank you so much for all your sweet messages and comments you guys leave me. It is nice to know you guys are so supportive. It means a lot to me, so thank you very much. My 2nd single from the new album "Shea" is now out over there - "Suitcase". Thank to everyone who has been requesting it at radio and on CMC, Video Hits, etc. You guys are the best! Keep in touch and let me know how you're going. Hope you are enjoying the new album. :)

Rock on!
